Need Health Insurance? Be Prepared for Open Enrollment This November
Open enrollment for 2022 plans in the Health Insurance Marketplace begins Sunday, November 1, and is open through January 15. During this period you’ll be able to enroll in a 2022 Marketplace health plan for the first time or assess your options for re-enrollment. 2022 plans and prices will be available to preview shortly before November 1. Once you’ve enrolled for a plan during this period, your coverage will begin on January 1, 2022. You can find all of the details about how to apply, view your plan options and enroll at HealthCare.gov.

It provides free preventative services that keep you on top of your health needs, such as vaccines, screenings and some check-ups, and makes your prescriptions cheaper. The Health Insurance Marketplace provides many savings options for people who are low-income, unemployed, or have low-paying jobs that don’t provide health insurance. It’s worth filling out an application and looking at the options you qualify for, because it may be more affordable than you think.

What if I’m already enrolled?
If you’re already enrolled and you don’t change your plan during open enrollment, you’ll be re-enrolled in your 2021 plan or something similar for 2022. However, some updates have been made, so new plans are available and you may qualify for more savings. To view all of your options and make sure you have the plan that works for you, we recommend logging in, updating your application, and reviewing all of your options during open enrollment.
