Originally from Mexico, Tey spent her last 19 years exploring life in Canada, Mexico and the United States while raising her two children. Tey found her passion in the health field when she identified with CHP’s mission when she joined the staff in 2010. Working with underserved populations and trying to reduce health disparities is what gives Tey purpose. She received a bachelor’s degree in human resources and a master’s degree in family and community health from Montana State University. She is a certified medical interpreter and greatly enjoys using her skills supporting and advocating for limited English speaking people and the most vulnerable, in the educational, health and legal setting. She spends most of her free time running, swimming and having fun with her family and dog.
