CHP Give Big Fundraiser

This year, CHP is participating in Give Big Gallatin Valley, a fundraising event designed to support nonprofits that give back in big ways to the valley’s community. This 24 hours of giving has raised over $8.5 million in funding over the past seven years to support area nonprofits.
Donations and fundraising can make a powerful impact in CHP’s ability to give back. With a mission of providing compassionate care to all, regardless of the ability to pay, CHP works hard to expand and meet the increasing need for services. No donation is too small to help. Here’s what you need to know about the campaign, and how you can participate.
What CHP does
CHP is committed to giving everyone access to top medical care, regardless of their financial situation. CHP sees patients under all insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
And clinics offer a sliding fee scale that can allow people of all income levels to get the care they need to live their best, healthy life. That goes for medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy needs too, in clinics across Bozeman, Belgrade, West Yellowstone and Livingston.
Why Giving is Important
CHP can’t meet its mission alone. We’re all united in fighting for equity in healthcare, and it doesn’t stop with the providers and patients. If your situation allows, you can help out too, with a donation as big or small as you can afford.
Caring for more than 11,500 patients annually through 40,000+ visits keeps providers busy. And as the community grows, CHP aimS to grow along with it. Your donations through Give Big Gallatin Valley can help. For every $250 that goes to CHP's Patient Care Fund, CHP will ensure one person has access to all the care they need.
When you can Give
Give Big Gallatin Valley takes place from May 5 at 6 pm to May 6 at 6pm this year.
How to Donate
Starting on May 5 at 6 pm, you can go to the CHP Give Big Gallatin Valley page and make a donation easily online. Offline, you can donate via check, stock, IRA or DAF transfer either directly to the nonprofit or through the One Valley Community Foundation.
There are more ways to support the cause, beyond donating money. Throughout the day, GBGV will award business-sponsored prizes, like 10 prizes of $100 awarded randomly based on social media posts with the hashtag #GiveBigGV. The award—sponsored by the Community Foundation—will go to the nonprofit that the post references, increasing their donations without you needing to give a dime.
And even if you don’t have much to give, you can donate as little as $5 strategically. Since community sponsors are giving a boost with bonus donations to nonprofits in a variety of categories based on most donors at a given time, your $5 might turn into $505. KBKZ will add $500 to the donation of a randomly selected donor between 7 pm and 9 pm on May 5, and The Moose Radio will give five prizes of $100 to randomly selected donors giving between 6 am and 7 am on May 6. So there’s an extra donation opportunity for early birds and night owls.
